What Not to Pack: Non-Transportable Items to Keep Out of Your Moving Shipment
When relocating to or from Serbia — whether it’s a move from Belgrade to Novi Sad or an international relocation from Niš to Germany — certain items simply cannot, or should not, go into your moving shipment.

What NOT to Pack or Transport
Hazardous and Prohibited Materials
For safety and legal reasons, our moving trucks and storage services cannot transport:
- Flammable liquids (gasoline, paint thinners, nail polish remover)
- Explosive materials (fireworks, ammunition)
- Gas cylinders, propane tanks, or lighter fluid
- Oxygen bottles, aerosol sprays, and other pressurized containers
- Chemical cleaners, fertilizers, or automotive fluids
- Radioactive or biohazardous materials
These are classified as hazardous under both Serbian and EU transport safety laws, and need to be disposed of properly before moving day.
High-Value or Sensitive Items
To reduce the risk of loss or damage, we advise clients to carry the following personally rather than loading them on the truck:
- Jewelry, gold, or other precious items
- Important legal documents (passports, marriage certificates, deeds)
- Personal records and medical files
- Family heirlooms or sentimental keepsakes
- Cash, coins, or rare collections
- Prescription medications you may need during the move
Keeping these in your hand luggage is especially important for international relocations.
Additional Items Not Recommended for Transport
- Firearms and ammunition: Must be declared and may require a licensed firearms courier service
- Open food containers or perishable items: Risk of spoilage, pests, and mess
- Used cleaning products or partially full containers: These can leak and damage everything around them
